We have some wonderful news for our faith community!
Bishop Libasci has given permission for the distribution of the Eucharist outside of Mass. We will begin to do so at both OLF and IC each Sunday beginning May 31 between the hours of 11:30am and 12:30pm.
The distribution of Communion in this fashion and the weekly recorded Mass at OLF will continue until the restriction on the size of gatherings (now at 10) is significantly increased or rescinded. Distribution of Holy Communion to the homebound has not resumed. See Bishop Libasci’s letter to the Faithful dated May 19, 2020, available on our website www.olfic.org.
Things to keep in mind when you come:
· Park in designated areas only and please do not congregate in the parking lot.
· Please attend to directions of the Hospitality Ministers who are there to assist you.
· Hand sanitizer will be available at the single entrance to the church.
· To maintain the sacredness of the experience, observe a respectful silence.
· Masks are required for all over the age of 5. It would be best to leave young children who will not be receiving in the car attended by another adult.
· Pews are closed and aisles will be marked to maintain 6 feet of distance. Holy Water fonts will be empty and covered.
· The preferred option for reception of Communion is in-the-hand. And then proceed directly to the designated exit.
· You will find baskets at the exit where you may place an offering.
· Special prayers to prepare for Holy Communion and to reflect following reception, are on our website.
Thank you for following these guidelines.
