"Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is with him” Jeremiah 17:7
Spring Greetings???
We are hopeful that Spring is on the way. We continue to be tested with little storms…but soon you’ll see my sandals!
THIS SUNDAY, St. Patrick's Dinners may be picked up between 4PM and 6PM by the Hall entrance of OLF. A reminder that this is a ticketed event.
The Pastoral Council had a informative meeting with the Finance Council. We all realize prices rarely go down. Increased costs effect us all. Due to a $10,000 loss at Christmas and a $7,000 loss in Fuel Collection it was agreed to start to pass the basket again on major Holy days such as Christmas and Easter. Societal changes toward God and Church continues its attendance decline with some signs of hope. Yet we are not seeing the large numbers even on Christmas and Easter. With about 25% of the parish actively going to Church, we think it only fair to see how the other 75% can contribute to keep the Church running in the years ahead. We thank you for your generosity. This move is not taken lightly, but to protect those who do contribute, we do not feel they should carry the entire financial ball themselves and we are looking to other sources of revenue. Thanks for your understanding.
If you are not on E-giving or Flocknotes (our weekly bulletin), and would like to join let the office know.
Get well soon Tony from your recent spine surgery.
