"Today, say this holy Mass as if it is your first, your only, or your last”
This prayer found in the vesting sacristy for the priest to say calls him to say Mass with reverence. It is also a prayer lay people could consider saying as they approach Communion reverently, as if they are receiving their first, only, or last communion.
This prayer has been on my mind each Mass lately. Presently, surgery is scheduled for Thursday the 12th.. My heart surgery should be over as you read this. There MAY BE an over-night stay to monitor for rejection or infection of the heart valve.
Daily Masses will therefore not be held on Thursday or Friday. Your prayers are appreciated. No visitors are allowed due to quarantine.
Blood Drive is in OLF Hall on Tuesday Feb. 17th. From 12-5 PM.
The Season of Lent starts next Wednesday February 18th. Masses and Ashes will be distributed at 8:30 AM & 12 Noon. An Ecumenical Service with Ashes is at 7PM. Local clergy will be participating.
FUEL COLLECTION
We are all suffering a brutal Winter. The Church also needs to pay its annual bill of over $35,000. The parking lot also needs to be plowed costing another $30,000. We have semi-annual collections to make it easier on everyone’s budget. Whether we have 2 or 200 people attending, the lights, heat, or A/C plowing are always on-going.
Please help us so we can help others. Thank you.
