“When one has noting to lose, the heart is inaccessible to fear.”
- St. Theodore Gurin
Greetings everyone.
The funeral for Cynthia Currier will be held at Saturday10 AM at OLF. She is well known in many ways in town for her teaching, activism, volunteerism and Loaves and Fishes, our condolences to the family.
Blood Drive is February 17th in the Parish Hall.
ASH WEDNESDAY, February 18, begins the Holy season of Lent, a time of fasting, almsgiving and prayer. Services are 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM at OLF with Ashes distributed after Mass. An Ecumenical Service at 7PM at OLF with local clergy will also be held at OLF. Stations of the Cross will be held each Friday night at 5:30 PM followed by a light supper. Lenten meditation books will be available at the doorways. There is considerable expense for these books each season so please use them.
The weekend of the 14th & 15th the Dominican Friars will conduct the Masses and confession while Fr. Don re-cooperates from his heart procedure. Sometimes, personality changes happen following such surgery ie. irritability, forgetfulness, lethargy. So, be mindful.
Needless to say, SUPER BOWL is coming up. Patriots will need extra prayers but miracles happen. Wish them well, they are a young team who have performed heroically this season.
